So if this thing is supposed to float what keeps it from turning the person upside down and floating on top? Specially in a mishap type of landing.

The idea for this is to protect my ass from breaking when I land on the ground. Drowning is a good possibility with this when I test it into the water first. 
Haven't gotten that far in thinking yet.
