I'd also be curious if folks want to volunteer their total number of jumps along with total number of objects.

Ha, funny that. I just crafted up a similar post earlier today but decided not to post it after all.

I would really like to see ratios. Number of jumps versus number of objects versus number of objects opened.

<brag> 57 jumps (30ish potato), 12 objects, 5 opened by myself. </brag>

Edited to add a momentary lapse of honesty; 3 jumps on which I relied on an above average amount of luck, went beyond what my skillset at that time should have allowed, and in hindsight realized I had stepped beyond my risk-comfort level. Granted, that's just from my point of view. There are others that see my luck-jump number in the high fifties.

44 jumps, 10 objects (3S, 1B, 6E), none opened by my-self (no brag...I'm only a base-baby) and my favourites are "E"s!

42 objects, almost all in my immediate area.

I had one student years ago who made his first 10 jumps from 10 different objects!

77 jumps, 4 objects, 1 strike, 1 arrest, 1 sprained ankle, 1 sprained wrist. I must be pretty lucky, eh?

Ouch.

For what it's worth, I didn't even get the jump on the arrest. Remember the "never go to jail with a packed rig" saying? Well, I don't think it really sinks in until you've gone to jail with a packed rig.

So really, it's two non-legal attempts, one successful.

(And the object strike was pretty minor, though could have been catastrophic. The canopy hit the wall, ripped a hole in it, but my body never made contact.)

the really interesting thing is that my most recent 2 jumps have both been from underhung objects (350ft freestanding A and a 330ft freestanding Power Pylon) and both times I had 180s…

other than some slider up 180s off the TBPB during my first 63 jumps, these are the first true 180s I’ve had and they had to happen on the most challenging objects that I jump…

Don’t think I would’ve dealt with them all this well 100 jumps ago…

just something to consider when you're out there rolling those dice...

Wait a second... first we've got to define what is a different object Then we've got to define what is a BASE jump. Just had this discussion with Aussies in Switzerland after jumping a less common exit in a valley, and i wish you luck!

We ended up concluding that a base jump is not a base jump and stopped right there

I think i did 160some object and 1090some jump today, by a relatively conservative definition.

Up today, I have done 170 jumps off 41 different objects, of which 41 objects I opened myself 8 and actually few weeks ago I closed the word B.A.S.E. of objects opened by the good myself (I opened (in order): 1 S, 5 A's, 1 E and 1 B)

936 jumps no injuries, no arrests, 68 different objects, 4 different countries. Retired

1 Object, 1 Jump. It was a PCA 60 foot E at the near by lake . Gear: 235 sq/ft Cloud Canopy, MX-1 Container.

Brakes were set to shallow(Not set at all), and didn't reach full pressurization before impact

Yea I know it doesn't count as a B.A.S.E. jump, just a fun idea for anothe boring summer day.

I'm almost embarrassed to admit it. 44 jumps only, over 21 years. Only one jump on BASE-specific gear.

2 spans, 1 cliff, 3 buildings (opened 1, d-bag about 130' -- d-bag was something I'd read about in a magazine), 5 A's (opened 2, solos), 1 smokestack (opened). (I think this is all correct, but the '80's are still a bit hazy for me -- there may be a few more A's in there. All that morphine an stuff -- oh, and the nitrous oxide....)

1 arrest for trespassing (still got the jump). One broken hip. One broken ankle.

I guess jumping off different motorhomes going over the same bridge doesn't count as different objects?

40 different objects located in 9 different countries, i.e.:

-- 2 Others (TV-Tower and Ski-jump)

The altitudes from 50 m to Kjerag.

(And there are still the hundrets of jumpable things in a dozen coutries there I haven't been yet... The updates are coming!)

In BASE, I think I've taken to regarding "injury" as meaning "had to stay in the hospital over night." Unless I am mistaken, Kevin is one of the current world leaders in most jumps without injury (by my definition), along with perhaps 2 other people in his experience range.

I guess I'm with Tom on the definition of injury. No doubt I've had my bumps and bruises but I've never sustained an injury that couldn't be treated with Motrin and a bottle of rum. My legs are awash with road rash scars from less than graceful landings. Fact is that I'm a big fucker and gravity has a firm grip on my ass. It simply takes more energy for me to stop than it does for others. However, I never broke a bone while searching for ground rush. I guess my luck bucket was over flowing when I began this sport and I just opted to retire before it ran out. Maybe I'll go buy a lottery ticket.

Pre-skydiving , I thought that anything requiring stitches constituted injury, and a broken bone seemed like a really big deal.

Over the years, my point of view has been forcibly refined to include only death, brain damage or paralysis, (albeit with a nod to permanently twisted, or otherwise malfunctioning limbs).

Short of that, it's just a boo-boo, no matter how many scars you have or whether you set off the metal detectors wherever you go.
