and considering google has 10 trillion zillion bakillion (only number after zillion) terabytes of bandwidth I think I'd like to see more people upload videos to google video, also in the near future you'll be able to make your video pay per view (if you have to make it PPV).

but anyway I was searching it for "BASE" first page had 2 clips of BASE

I tested the service, and in my opinion it is still in an early birth. I did a upload of the short "Lowpull" video, and it took several weeks from the upload until Google posted it for downloading. I also had a few email with them, and they told me that is the time it takes for them to "confirm/accept" a video upload. They must be sure no porn or illegal material is posted trough their servers.

But i like making BASE jumping videos, and are putting up a video "Download On Demand" solution and got some ideas i would like your opinion on.

Would you pay about 3.99$ for a 5 minute BASE video adventure for you to download in the quality you chose? That is you pay for the video with PayPal and then you can download a mpeg2 (DVD quality) video for you to enjoy and you also get it in .3gp (3G video phone format) and any other format you choose (You buy it, you own it...)

I got some (in my opinion) watchable videos like the one from this Easter in Lau.... (hope you have downloaded it from skydivingmovies) with great views of Norwegian nature and virgin-jumped-cliffs.
So the question is still; Would you pay 3.99$ for a 5 min BASEvideo in top quality downloaded to your computer (and yes, you can also get a copy with SnailMail)
So think about it, i make f. esk 10 videos, you buy and download 5 of them and send me an email that you want it on a DVD with menus and pictures and stuff. I fix it and add another clip so that you get a DVD with top quality stuff for about 20$ and that without waiting for the postman to arrive How cool is that for use of the Internet

Have you downloaded the Google video player and installed it? It did it automatically for me but maybe you need to do it manually.

some other more (simple) effective ways to search google:


Google images (or main):
inurl:BaseJump
intitle:BASEjump
intext:BASEjump
intext:"BASE jump"

Google Main:
you can mix up detailed searches and come up with things like:

.wmv OR .mpg OR .avi intext:BASEJump

or make it even more specific and use things like:

filetype:xls BASEjump

most search engines allow the use of boolean commands. You can pretty much do the same on altavista.com, yahoo, etc...

google video is different to doing a video search on the standard google search engine,
google video is for uploading movies for them to host and also to give you an option to make them PPV

Why would you want to use google video instead of Skydivingmovies.com? Can you give us a rundown on the features you like there?

It just seems to me that Skydivingmovies.com is a little more "in the family".

I wonder how long until google video has the infamous dam strike?

Yahoo's Video section seems to have an extensive range too....
