Don't use a sail slider of that big A. go with the mesh again.
As the Pilot chute stops the canopy pulls it out of the container, the slider needs to come with it. since there is no bag to keep the slider up at the top, that has to be done with rubberbands.
The primary stow should be double stowed as close to the slider as possible. If the rubberband is a couple inches down, the slider is affectively a couple inches down before reaching line stretch so take care with the primary stow (indirect slider control).
Direct slider control can be used as well. One or two half mini rubberbands can be used. One on each inner C line, or just one, and can be wrapped several times.
If the canopy opens inherently hard at long delays, then roll the nose inward a few times and hide the center.
Again, I would not suggest using a sail slider off a 1700 footer with guy wires though.
