I have some money to take a rangefinder, so i am gone on www.yardagepro.com and i see a lot of them.
which is a machine that do a good job for the BASE game?
I am in doubt between the YardageProLegend and the YardageProSport? The price is really different but they do same work? Go to the cheap one or to the expensive one?
Any experience-advice are very appreciated!

I have a Yardage Pro Scout.

I basicaly went into the sporting goods store with a fistfull of cash and I was leaving with a laser rangefinder, simple as that. They had three models, the Yardage Pro Sport, the Yardage Pro Scout, and some other primitave optical version that you had to hand focus.

The Sport version wasn't very confidence inspiring and it felt like if I rolled in a landing while carrying it, I would probably destroy it. Realistically, a bad landing will probably destroy any model, the sport just felt less durable.

I went with the Scout even though it was more expensive. I played with them both in the store and they both worked just fine, I just liked the Scout more so I bought it.

Let me tell you though, if you buy one, you'll wonder how you ever survived without one. You'll probably get in your car and drive around just looking for things to laser.

(I mean... I didn't...(((looks around))) but.... well.... okay I did...)

I laser everything now. Sometimes I'm quite surprised what I find.

Just get one, it's an extremely useful tool for the BASE jumper.

I have the basic yardage pro and it works fine in medium light. if I could find one that backlights the range numbers and crosshair it would be better since I find myself ranging something int he middle of the night then quickly trying to pan over to one of the tower lights to see what it says. Hope this helps.

Yardage pro 800 is the only way to go. It is the only one with the backlit display which is invaluable on night jumps. I bought mine in 2000 and have no problems. I guess by now they might have others that have the backlit display but make sure you get it!
