This is for the North Carolina people who have been coming down to South Carolina and jumping objects in the daylight, thereby heating them up and endangering their use for others.

It is especially for those who have been jumping the 300 foot freestander lately discussed here.

There are SC locals who have been jumping that tower for years now, and who live within 20 miles of it here in SC. Never heard of us? Thats because we jump only at night to help make sure the tower will continue to be available for jumping. WE jump it after 10pm in winter, 11pm in summer.

Your jumping it in daylight goes against all BASE ethics I have known. What you are doing is not right.

Those of us who are local ask you to stop jumping here in daylight hours. If you want to jump at night, then you are welcome.

I knew this would get blamed on John. Guess again. It is another faithful follower of BASE that is missing a few major life learning points. John washed his hands of this a long time ago. We have also been jumping the towers in the middle of the night and as a matter of fact I don't have any non kosher day jumps in this region to my name and I jump with him. If you insist on putting names on here then why don't you go ahead and fill out your's.

And seeing as how this person just recently registered, perhaps it WOULD be a good idea to get their full name out here.

SB #2 is right: John came out long ago and stated he was done with taking others BASE jumping. This isn't about him. This is about others who never realize that THEY are the problem everyone is talking about when THEY chime in with advice. Say what you will, but I'm beginning to see that there are some truly elitist mentalities that lead to going off half-cocked without all of the information.

Self-righteous nonsense aside, as it seems misplaced coming as it does from behind the cloak of anonymity, check your facts before you go making asinine accusations.

While I tend to agree with you, I cannot allow the creation of multiple logins for purposes of posting this sort of thing.

You have sufficient personal stature in the BASE world that posting this under your actual login would, in my opinion, be far more effective than creating a "pseudo-anonymous" one to do so.

You are my friend. But I have to follow Sangiro's rules, the same as everyone else here. Please read the sticky at the top of this forum.
