looking for pics - front mounted reserve rings
I know there are some guys out there that have the metal front mount reserve rings option on their BASE containers, so you could you please post some pics of this option - as many as you can to show as much detail as possible. (Craig I remember you having some pics of this on a past post somewhere??)

Also, has anyone had this option retro-fitted, and did you have this done by a good rigger or by the manufactuer of the container?

Any other thoughts you have on doing this, please let me know - I am yet to speak to the manufacturer of my container to get more info as they are away at the moment - but I will be speaking to them anyway before going ahead with this.

Thanks

Michael

and for the 210ft Gas tower, dont want to use a belly mount, and I dont want to take 2 seconds from it again......... in fact, not sure I want to jump it again - think i may "raise" my game!

ah the joys of retrospect!

Adding D rings to a military harness was a standard modification in the old days. Poynter's manual VI covers instructions for this mod. You can now get both separable D rings and three ring harness rings which means you can remove the ring when not needed.

Hey Mac, how's it going. I have been away and have a different phone so will get in contact soon....

Re the belly mount, do you know what the rules are in the UK for jumping base rig + belly mount out of a plane. I know in the states the container has to be rated.

If it is possible do you know if we have rock solid rules on minimum pull height.

I can't think of anything better than humming it down 200ft over Hinton, packing my shit and walking off with a grin on my face Wink

These are not exactly common. The two pair I have were hard to come by, and one was found for me by a friend. Thanks Sparky!

The separable D rings are available from Para Gear. #H301. Don't have my catalog here and they're not part of an online catalog but I'm pretty sure DJ Assoc. has the separable three ring harness rings. http://www.dj-associates.com/

I have made arrangements to take my Gargoyle out of one of those airplane things, not sure if the guy will allow lots of people to do it - but maybe if all goes well with my first jumps, who knows................ speak soon mate..........
