First, have you seen 689's
spreadsheet which can be downloaded from
BLiNC? You ought to be able to tweak it for various porosity figures and model whatever you like.
Some thoughts:
In either case, the air must spill past the PC somehow. Either it spills through the F-111, or it spills around the ZP. In either case, the drag ought to be roughly the same. In practice, I've noticed very little actual difference between the pull forces of F-111 and ZP PC's. In fact, I think the major difference is in inflation time, not pull force.
That said, I do believe there is a major difference in inflation speed between ZP and F-111. ZP appears to be _much_ less prone to hesitation.
Also, ZP is much lower maintenance, with F-111 requiring replacement perhaps 3 times as often.
