time to replace my video helmet
the old featherlite went in on a jump in norway
just by luck i mostly hit grass
as that model really did not offer a lot of protection
it worked okay for years
but i want to get a video helmet that offers protection as well

i want a side mount helmet for my pc5
any help?

The rat hat is a tunnel helmet, and I'd definitly not use it for BASE as a gnarly cliff strike would probably knock it off. Get the Illusion from Bonehead its their new helmet that probably isn't listed on their website yet. Has lots of protection and stock cutaway system. I've done 3 BASE jumps with it and its been great for my needs.

Alot of the camera flyers at Perris are switching to it.

What about the Havok? Mamba?

edit to add: ummm yeah, they are not video helmets. but anyhow, what do you think?
And a dumb question that is hard to find answered by searching. The carbon fibre option is simply an unpainted version, but still carbon fiber, right?
