Has anyone seen the new Rat Hat from Bonehead. Wondering if it would make a good BASE helmet. Looks like it would offer some chin and face protection with out covering your mouth.

I'm sure someone can help me out with the clicky thing.

It does offer some nice protection, what are your requirements for a "good BASE helmet"?

I'd like one for skydiving and situations where I might be subject to an occasional kick to the had or chin, or a bump against a door frame on exit. For the possibilities of a more severe strike or collision such as may existi in bas I might go with someting liker this:

A solid built helmet that offers full range of head movement and doesn't restrict visibility. Face and jaw protection but still have the ability to talk and people can hear you with it on. For those times like,"Don't jump, there is a car coming" type things. And use of two way radios.
Easy to get on and off are a plus. And must look cool!!

YEah I'd say it's got that.....
