I was just wondering. Do many base jumpers actually rock climb cliff's to get to exit points? would the rig get in the way or make rock climbing more akward? or does the rockclimbing gear get in the way when you want to make the jump?

Actually climbing to the exit is very rare. In general, the BASE gear is cumbersome enough to make it very difficult. You also need to find a way to get the climbing gear down, as it is cumbersome enough to make the jump difficult.
