Southeast Florida
If anyone knows of any local objects in the area to please send me a PM. I have searched endlessly and I cannot find anything near me that is not high risk (I am talking about As not Bs since I am not ready for those yet but the 411 would be appreciated so when Im ready). The closest experienced jumper is more than 2 hours away. So if anyone has ever been to the area please send me a PM.

Yes, I did. I have already jumped with him once, but Im trying to find something closer within the tri county area. The contact lives 2 hours away. Oh, and thanks again for getting me in contact with him.

Hey Omar welcome to the BASE crowd,I cant point you anyways as im also pretty new in this sport,however...
The fact that i see that you have some similar conditions as i had as i started means that i feel i need to say this(even as i cant have any clue from the other side of the pond).

1.i startede also out by getting some jumps, whith a more experienced jumper(2 to be acurate),but i also lived/lives in a way that means im pretty much at my own most of the time...

2.I also had a small main skydive canopy and a Fox225 to start whith

this is what happened to me in a kind of a time line

2 first jumps whith the experienced jumper(inkluding packing teknices exit into a pool and so.

3.jump im going to an 900ft A,whith a skydive freind. i climb 600ft and makes my first handheld, after that im pretty much jolly alone (talking solo). After 2 jumps from 600ft i move down to 400ft were i make 25jumps before i pull my ass up to 900ft to make my first stowed and slider up jump.It works and on my jump #30 i deside that i want to go stowed slider off. i climb 600ft were i redeside.im going hand held gets a blown toogle... i were at that point told to drop the other toogle which i did.I made a rear riser stall in aprox 6ft tryed to plf but got snagged in the feild.. made a open fractur and layed on the cold ground for 2 hours before my gf and her dad reached me... it took almost 1 hour more to get to the hospital....

What do i want to tell you about all this???

please considder if you want a bigger canopy.

make your self a backup plan in case somethings goes wrong.

Perhaps you didnt went solo yet but at one point i think you might do... at that time you´ll need to considder the extra risk of that..

just a 120jump wonder commet so take it whith a grain of saltTongue

Re: [Faber] Southeast Florida
I weigh 145 (lost 5 and and working on losing 5 more), so I am in the reccommended wing loading for the canopy BUT I have decided to err on the safe side, so my next rig will be at least a 240.

THe problem with the area i live in is heavily populated and most A are in residential or commecial area and for the most part are 300 and less, usually freestanding with lots of rods and other stuff sticking off of it, so for now I am not comfortable doing those types of objects until I get more experienced and consistent with my spring launches.

There is one other jumper who lives 5 mins away from me but he is as inexperienced as I am (has 10 more jumps than me) and most from the potato state bridge. Until he gets more time away from work to check out some sites, it will be me on my own.
