1st solo base jump; antenna; 300+/-; static line(*1st staticline).

It is true what "they" say... you question why you do it when you have the world to yourself

i dont know how many jumps you have,neither do i know if you were taught to do SL,or if you used a carryonSL devise,but:

you can freefall 300ft,if you left trace behind on a object like that..dude...

Nice work on your first solo IN THE OBJECTjump,a solo to me means no people at the ground or in the object(not even if the neighbours come to watch ,like on my daylight A),its when your all alone you will see that if anything happens your in deep shit...if you dont see it as your solo you will the day your injuryed

Just a thing that crossed my mind...
dont you have a mentor or fellow jumpers to jump whith?I see you post alot about if people wants to jump,now you jump "alone",im just asking,as i were there once and i can tell you i were lucky only to learn it the rugh way.I hope you have people arround to show.Or pay the price to get you moved to the place were people are.

I do have to say that i owe alot of people(also people i didnt meet yet)alot.They werent to blame for anything that has or will happen to me and i will always make my own personal oppinions.Its all about dealing whith risk,and to let once loved once to know that its your way so they wont harm the sport in case anything happen to us.

anyway,congrats,hope to flick one day(unlerss you force me to climb somthing really high)

I too am someone that appreciates the pure feelings of going solo.

just a couple of points from your post:

300+/- - what are you using for measuring the height of your objects that you dont know exactly the height of it? What is your +/- range as if your starting to get in the realm of sub300 then exact measurement is preferable to having a "rough idea".

Also from your left hand side it says you have 5 jumps? - to go and start doing solos, your first SL's and from objects you dont really know the height of to me seems a little bit of newbie drive perhaps overriding sensible thought - dont get me wrong I am not flaming you for doing what you do and the way that you do it - I just dont want you to be in a position where that perhaps you miss out on jumping with more experienced people in your earlier jumps and you gain more insight and better grounding in skills........ I only say this as your past posts seem to be trying to find people to jump with and you seem to struggle to find these people and now you are posting about going solo with only 5 jumps.......... what happens next time when you cant get GC? will you then go pure solo? Be aware that pure solo opens up a world where, yes, you will have some amazing feelings, but aditionally it means that you could possibly die from something that you would not have if someone was there! Ask faber about when it goes wrong - I have watched the video where he lay in a dark field alone wrapped in his canopy after pushing his own leg bone back under his skin waiting for someone to realise where he may be! its a shocking story and perhaps faber would like to recall it?

Dont get me wrong mate - I am not flaming - but having only been in the sport 2+ years myself I still remember the drive I had in my earlier jumps and I know look back on them and thank the world I did not hurt myself............ which is fucking ironic now as I sit at my laptop with a bust up leg from a simple jump!!! - shit can happen at the blink of an eye - unfortunaly recovery aint that fast!!

It was 300ft.... i put +/- to indicate it might not have be EXACLTY 300 ft. So in this case +/- might be a foot or 2.

I would like to start off thanking all of you. To start off my point of MY post was to share MY experiance. I appreciate any hints, tips, flaming, because it is all a learning tool

ok note

1. That it wasnt a true solo.
2. My own brother was on the ground with a radio.
3. And that I had already got the training on how to do a static line jump.
4. I had already talked with 2 different experianced jumpers reference this jump.

I know i am a beginner and I know jack &%$ compaired to anyone else. But look at the risk management involved: my bro was there, I had the training, conditions were great with winds nill, and i had a decent launch and opening.

Thanks. I am out to learn, jump, have a great rewarding time with people I know. Just Sometimes they are busy, or DEPLOYED in war or somthing like that

dude,lets drop it from here ok,our concern were that you did things we thourght perhaps were on the edge of what you might should do(meaning general concern on your health).

Im telling you becours i dont want to read that you one day got injuryed on a jump that could have prevented(i did that fault my self,and dont which others to do the same).

Mac and i aint experienced jumpers anyway,by my aprox 120jump i still considder myself as a newbie,or at least a lowtimer..so you could just say fuck you,and the end of it.. we just tryed to guide abit.

if you learned somthing,then its great if not im sorry for that..
