jump courses in Europe
I've been thinking about getting into BASE for a long time.

Made almost the 250 skydives and have been practising some CRW and accuracy.
I read as much as possible about BASE in forums and articles on the web.

My goal is getting into BASE next summer. First I want to further explore my canopy techniques this year, because I really want to be prepared as good as possible.

Now, I've understood that it is really important to do a FJC anywhere in the world.
I live in Europe, so for me, the cheapiest way would be a FJC in Kjerag? Or are there any manufacurers who organise jump courses in Europe (B- and/or A- jumps)?

I can really understand that there are some -major?- Earth-style issues about a first jump in Kjerag.
Are the risks reduced by this pendulator-thing?
Do I really have to come to the States to attend a safe instruction course (like Bridge Day)?

Hope for any reply. Thanks.

Re: [reukkes] jump courses in Europe
Did you talk to the right people were you live? theres some great people there...

besides that, planing to go on a FJC 1 year before might is in too much a hurry.I think its an good idea to wait a year more through...

never heard about such, prepare for a S jump(unless you go to Kjerag) or an A jump if you find a mentor.

theres plenty of nice people were you live, you just need to be by the right spirit/attitude to get to jump there(no hard meaning by that).

Stay safeSmile

In my opinion, a span is a much safer first jump than a cliff, even a big wall with good instruction.

There is a relatively friendly span in southern Europe. Robert Pecnik has taught FJC's there. Try PMing him (or emailing him).
