Looks like Oprah might have some BASE video on today at 4pm titled "Faced Death and Lived to Tell About It". The previews showed Bud's crash into the Tombstone talus where he broke his femur.

This might be our second helping of BASE carnage on TV in the last 2 weeks. BASE jumpers sure are selling a lot of BASE carnage video as of late!

I too saw the ads for Oprah, and I never ever watch Oprah, but since BASE was being shown I chose to watch it, and boy was I disappointed.... "His chute wouldn't open and he was seconds from death then suddally it finally opened" Um yeah... he didn't pull because to me it looked like he was very unstable and when he fianlly got stable he pulled...I think I saw a better show on that same jump on National Geographic. That was it, I was pretty upset I wasted my hour watching Oprah...but the story of the hikers in the begining was pretty interesting.

We ought to start an "I watched Oprah" support group.

Yes this is tragic. Maybe we can have our own talk show as well. Those that survived the tragic episode of Oprah's BASE teaser...

OMG...Mega Ditto! That's exactly what I thought is that I watched the entire show thinking that the BASE "segment" (2 seconds of "oh dude's chute didn't come out and he had only 4 secs...") would get the same time as the snake and climbers' story.
