Re: [floormonkey] wikipedia entry
It was a Corvette, not a Ferrari, and that movie sucked.

Re: [ManBird] wikipedia entry
Is it still a BASE jump if the jump is from a temporary aircraft like a car flying off a bridge???

Re: [piisfish] wikipedia entry
Good question. An airborne Corvette is not a fixed object. Well... the Corvette went off a fixed object. Kind of like ditching skis on a BASE jump.

I wouldn't be surprised. The whole point of wikipedia is that it's written by jo-shmo on the street. If there's something you don't like about the page simply edit it yourself.Smile

That's pretty cool, I didn't know that. I was wondering why most of the skydiving stuff seemed accurate. Following Manbird's lead, I edited Ferrari to Corvette. Cool

EDIT: Man the ramifications of this public edit thing are mindboggling for troublemakers. I'm having urges to look up and modify major entries to be comically wrong... Angelic

EDIT 2: I'm also editing the entry on speed skiing where they claim it is the fastest non-motorized sport... Cool

I thought the movie was pretty good. Exiting off their camera booms after hours was pretty fun, too.

And I still think of TR (who did the 'vette jump) as the real star of the show.

That I cannot argue. There were some great stunts in there (and fucking awful skysurfing). Sucks that someone was lost in the process. As far as films go, I'd have to say I'm more into slow, epic Chinese dramas than American 'splosion fests.
