Saw this on Ebay - sounds slightly dodgy - seller says he picked it up in an auction.

Obviously I am not implying the seller nicked it or anything, but could be stolen and ended up at the auction somehow. Just wondered if anyone recognizes it.........

Black fox245 no vtec can bee seen,it has a purple centercell(i guess)and purple stabilizors.
The fox logo looks used but lines looks brand new,perhaps resently got new one on..

This is very possible. I have seen other base gear/ rigs on a government web-site auction. They sell unclaimed stolen goods and confiscated items.

Usually this auction site sells the items as they recieve them. This particular canopy didnt have risers??? I doubt the government is smart enough to dismantle a rig...

I contacted the seller (just to warn him to put the usual "Not responsible if you break yourself" spiel, and also so I could be a nosey bugger and see where he got the canopy - this is what he said:

"I bought this at a lost freight auction. When goods
are shipped, the label can fall off and it ends up undeliverable, It is
damaged and an insurance claim is paid, a pallet of boxes can be damaged
on one corner- leaving 3/4 of the items in mint condition. This could be
new from the factory, lost in transit on it's way to or from repair."

So is someone out there sitting by their mailbox, cursing BR, waiting on a black and purple canopy to be delivered??

Steve Ball is an old BASE jumper friend of mine who I haven't seen for over 5 years and he also is the guy who has the lowest ever BASE jump at 63' from a cliff.

It's probably not the same Steve Ball I know, but could very well be??? Very weird.
