cheapest way: CH to Stav Roundtrip
Mid June I'm headed to Europe.

I'll finish my trip in CH, so I want to leave from Zurich at the end of the trip, therefore, found some decently priced RT tix from USA to Zurich, but still have to get to Stav as cheap as possible.

Anyone in the know have any suggestions? I'm not above trains or ferries, but I'm on a schedule as well as a budget--hitching is out of the question.

Any ideas or suggestions?
thanks!

Re: [motherhucker] cheapest way: CH to Stav Roundtrip
did you check maybe a plane ticket from the US to Zurich with SAS via scandinavia, with a stop in Oslo or Copenhagen and then a sidetrip from that place to stavanger ??
will be less direct for the return... but anyways you need 2 flights minimum from ZRH to stavanger.
send me an email with your exact name and dates, eventually timings. I'll see what I can do for a ZRH-Stavanger-ZRH. Just remember it's my last day thursday.
hope I can help ya.

If you have very little luggage, EasyJet and RyanAir are super cheap ways to get around Europe.

I think you'd have to fly to either Copenhagen or Oslo, and then grab a train or ferry, and there would be significant hassle (i.e. stopovers) but the actual money cost of travelling would be very low.

Re: [Faber] cheapest way: CH to Stav Roundtrip
ryan air does not fly from Zurich !
easyjet only flies to London Luton from Zurich...
Geneva is the place for easyjet in switzerland !

and don't forgetwith this kind of airline, NO CONNECTION GUARANTEED !!! NEVER !!!
so you have to plan some waiting time in case a plane is late, some time to get your luggage, and some time to do your new check-in....
that's loosing loads of time, not always worth the money...
and that's without counting that on MOST regular flights, there is FREE BEER ! (not on SWISS anymore...)
